Blog Communications – Promote media content consistent with NAACP goals
Community Coordination – Enlist support of other community organizations
Economic Development – Preserves and expands economic empowerment among African-Americans and communities of color
Education – Addresses issues in public education, promotes parental involvement
Finance – Studies the financial needs of the unit
Freedom Fund – Plans and conducts fundraising projects
Health – Addresses health needs of African Americans and the community
Legal Redress -  Investigates cases and supervises litigation, does not give general legal advice
Membership – Works to maintain and increase membership
Youth Works – Develops and coordinates programs of the Branch and Youth Units
